Biofuel efforts in the U.S. received a boost at the beginning of the year with President Bush’s included in the fiscal year 2008 budget request $179 million for use for biofuel research. And, companies like BP that are funding biofuel research. BP recently announced that it is funding $500 million over the next 10 years to support biofuel development efforts.
