As reported in October 2006, the UL withdrew their certifications for the equipment used in dispensing E85 ethanol (85% ethanol, 15% gasoline). For a recent update, related to a survey the UL conducted on E85 equipment and operations in the U.S., visit the Web site of National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition (NEVC); click this URL for a pdf version of the report http://www.e85fuel.com/memos/2007/UL_Report_Feb_07_e85us_survey.pdf

This survey does not alter the certification status but is a continuation of their review process along the path of eventual recertification of the E85 equipment. To learn more about this topic and to learn more in general about E85, flex-fuel vehicles, locations of stations with E85 pumps ready to dispense E85 ethanol, be sure to visit the Web site of National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition (NEVC) (an organization which we are members of).
